Round 10 – Season 2024
Under 9
It was cold morning with both teams understaffed with Dartmoor White and KL Rangers having 4 players each. Early in the first half KL had lots of attack earning them a goal, with quick and accurate passing.
The second half saw Dartmoor start to warm up and attack and chase down KL players earning some frees and some goals too!
With the small amount of players both teams did an amazing job covering the field and lots of running to keep the game exciting with some goals for either side.
Was a great start to Saturday hockey.

It was a great morning for Hockey.
Both teams played very well throughout the whole game. Both making great attacks through the middle and defence being quite strong for both teams.
A good close game that kept everyone on their toes.

A winters night greeted the U16s Friday game this week.
The game started very well and both teams played extremely well and both teams making great use of their short passes. It was great to see a well fought match between the teams with Dartmoor taking out the win in a very tight game.

Dartmoor vs Tatiara – Women
It was a highly anticipated second match between the two top women’s teams.
Dartmoor came out firing in the first quarter and seemed to take control of the play. But in the second quarter, Tatiara really came together as a team and demonstrated great control and speed through the midfield. In no time at all, it was 1-1.
Both teams worked hard to secure attacking short corners but struggled to convert again. Tatiara looked very dangerous at times moving in threes through the middle to take it all the way to the attacking circle.
In the end, Dartmoor were able to score 1 more goal with some fantastic team play to seal the match. A great game overall.

Dartmoor vs Tatiara – Men
Friday night saw the Tatiara and Dartmoor men play hockey in a game that threatened to be played underwater.
It started hard and fast and continued in that vein over the course of the game. Darts started well and had some good opportunities, opening the scoring in the first quarter before Tats hit back in the second.
By half time the teams were 2:1 in favour of Tatiara. The good work from Tatiara continued in the 2nd half whilst Darts started to fade at the end but never gave up despite being scored against twice more.
Final score was 4-1 in Tatiara’s favour with their forwards doing well to turn their opportunities into goals. This year’s competition is proving to be tight from week to week.
