Tatiara vs Redlegs – Under 16
Tatiara started strongly in their attack led by Zac, Ruby and Scarlett. Redlegs’ defence held up well with Ollie, Nate and Hadleigh proving impenetrable.
Tatiara’s forward work was slick, resulting in Lilly knocking in their first goal. Shortly followed by Zac, who decided to join the goalscoring, slotting 2 clever shots past Redlegs’ desperate defence.
Redlegs didn’t give up with George and Kaylee expertly weaving through Tatiara’s stealth defence, drawing multiple short corners but were unable to convert.
The second half was an even affair but Tatiara were able to make the most of another short through Rufus winding up and powering the ball into the backboard off the gallant Redlegs’ goalie.
Redlegs’ persistence finally got some reward with Henry Kitto weaving through traffic and smashing a goal from the top of the circle with Tatiara’s goalie Mac left wondering what had just happened.
The last quarter was even, resulting in no score being made, as neither team gave in to the pressure of the other.

Dartmoor vs Redlegs – Men
There was a fast start to the game with both teams showing their high and capable skills. Redlegs quickly got down their end with a strong kick out from their goalkeeper and nice team play to get a shot off but cleanly cleared by Nathan Pietsch and Karl.
Mac defending well in goals for Tatiara against a great attempt from Cooper on the post.
Second quarter started evenly for both sides. Tatiara pushed forward and earnt a short corner, a strong hit catching a defender’s foot in front of goal and gaining a penalty flick. Jordan Clark made sure of it with a nice flick into the back corner.
A brilliant steal from Jordan Millhouse for Redlegs in the midfield, giving himself space to run and expertly finish off the nice play with a strong goal at the top of the circle.
Some more even play from both sides followed. Redlegs passing well through the mid, finding Jordan at the top of the circle, again taking a beautiful strike at goal. Giving him his second for the match.
Third quarter started with both sides having chances at goal but unable to convert. Finn and Jordan working hard for Tatiara setting up opportunities through passes to Ryan. Jacob attempted to bring the ball down for another chance for Reds but stopped by the umpire calling 3 quarter time.
Reds started the last quarter with a nice pass across the face of goals to Lachie who couldn’t quite get his stick to it. Another shot at goal was effectively saved and put over the side line by Tatiara’s goalie Henry.
Despite the desperation seen through Tatiara, they were unable to even the score, resulting in a 2-1 win for Redlegs.
