Dartmoor vs Kingston/Lucindale – Under 13
Dartmoor made the most of their opportunities to claim a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Kingston Lucindale in an entertaining contest on a very wet day.
The early play was dominated by Dartmoor in attack, with Kingston/Lucindale having very few opportunities to break forward. Jordan Gale opened the scoring for Dartmoor, while Kingston Lucindale earned several short corners but were unable to convert.
Jordan Gale added his second goal as Kingston Lucindale began to enjoy more possession and created plenty of chances in front of goal. Dartmoor’s Philippa Heddles produced a number of outstanding saves to keep her side in front.
Kingston/Lucindale eventually found reward for their efforts through Evelyn, but Dartmoor’s Jordan Gale completed his hat-trick to restore the two-goal margin. John Clothier scored late in the game for Kingston/Lucindale, who continued to press on Dartmoor’s defence with numerous shots on goal and short corner opportunities.
The whistle to end the game saw Dartmoor gain a 3-2 win.

Dartmoor vs Redlegs – Women
After a very wet and rainy day, conditions cleared in time for the women’s match, although the damp pitch still made for slower play.
Dartmoor proved too strong, combining well with plenty of talking and passing to record a convincing 9-0 victory. Their younger players continue to grow in confidence, moving the ball around well and making valuable contributions across the field.
Despite the scoreline, Redlegs showed plenty of positives. Their younger players are stepping up each week, displaying noticeable improvements in both skill and confidence. Team morale remained high throughout the game, with plenty of encouragement coming from the backline as the side continued to fight until the final whistle.
Goalkeeper Sally Luff, once again, showcased her super powers between the posts, producing numerous saves to keep Redlegs battling right to the end.
Credit to Dartmoor for an impressive team performance, while Redlegs deserve praise for their determination and never giving up.
