Tatiara vs Redlegs – Under 16
Tatiara was off to a quick start earning a short corner in the opening minutes of the game but were unable to convert it into an early lead. Tatiara’s Will Henrich and Rufus Loller kept up a frantic attack during the first quarter which saw a total of 10 short corners awarded to the Tatiara side, however an amazing defence by Redlegs’ goalkeeper Hadleigh Haynes and Archie Olsen kept them scoreless at quarter time.
The second quarter saw some good Redlegs midfield teamwork with great tackling by Henry Kitto and strong passing from Seth Gale. Redlegs’ Violet Burke worked hard to put constant pressure on the Tatiara wing and Hadleigh continued with strong saves from Tatiara shots on goal to keep the score 0-0 at half time.
Tatiara were on the charge again in the third quarter with Ruby Watson and Emmy Finlayson holding the ball in their forward line, and Rufus having a shot on goal. Redlegs’ game was also strong with Ollie Williams completing some good clearances from their back line, Jezabel Ingenito displaying some strong and accurate passes in the centre, and Henry taking a shot on goal.
With the score at nil all going into the final quarter, both teams lifted to try get in front. Redlegs’ Violet and Sophie were solid in defence, and Tatiara’s Scarlett Densley and Lilly Warnest were strong in attack. Zachary Hutson made the breakthrough, taking Tatiara into the lead halfway into the quarter. There was more excitement to come with Redlegs taking a run down the centre and being rewarded a short corner just on fulltime. Unfortunately, Redlegs were unable to even up the score, with Tatiara winning the night 1-0.

Tatiar vs Redlegs – Men
Quick, skilful back and forth play between each team early in the game, with Redlegs having a few cracks at goals, but unable to convert. Strong offence by Redlegs resulted in a clean goal by Jordan Millhouse, an impressive first goal for the game. Tatiara pushed back hard with David Comer putting his body on the line, but Redlegs’ defence remained tight. Pushing back into attack, Redlegs looked strong but were unable to score, the quarter ending with 1-0 Redlegs’ way.
Controlled play to start the quarter, with both teams pushing hard. Redlegs were awarded an early short corner but they were unable to convert, hitting the post. Tatiara fought hard, pushing it back into their attack, but defence by Keiren Brennan and Troy Harris kept it out. Redlegs used quick passes to get the ball in their attacking circle, with Jordan Millhouse scoring his second goal just before the end of the second quarter.
Redlegs started off extremely strong, immediately pushing into attack with Connor Millhouse scoring the third goal for Redlegs. Running back, Lachlan Schultz from Tatiara used some quick ball skills ending with a crack at goals, but was unable to score. Redlegs retaliated, pushing into their attacking circle and getting a short. After 5 consecutive short corners and skilled defence by goalie Jaylob Lobley, Tatiara was able to keep the ball out of goals. Strong play from Redlegs, with Connor Millhouse scoring a clean goal with a tomahawk. A quick short for Redlegs resulted in Cooper Rees scoring their fifth goal just before the end of quarter three.
Tatiara started the final quarter off strong, being awarded a short corner early on. David Comer had a strong hit at goals but was unable to convert. An incredible run by Lachlan Schultz and teamwork with Brody Lock, Tatiara was able to get the ball into their offence, but they just missed out on a goal. A quick run back and Jordan Millhouse was able to score the sixth goal for Redlegs. A strong attack by Tatiara resulted in David Comer scoring a skilful tomahawk goal, making the score 6-1. Redlegs pushed back with 2 consecutive short corners, but were unable to convert. Redlegs pushed back again and were awarded a short just as the quarter ended with Joel Anderson scoring the final goal, making the game 7-1 Redlegs’ way.
