Dartmoor vs Greenbottles – Under 13

Greenbottles proved too strong for Dartmoor, recording a 10–0 victory in an entertaining Under 13 clash.

The game began with plenty of play through the centre of the field as both teams settled into the contest. Greenbottles opened the scoring from a well-executed penalty corner before quickly adding a second goal. Despite the early pressure, Dartmoor’s defence stood tall and worked tirelessly to keep the score at 2–0 by the end of the first quarter.

Greenbottles struck early in the second quarter with a clever flick, but Dartmoor’s goalkeeper showed great anticipation before Greenbottles managed to find the back of the goals for their third. Greenbottles’ slick passing and impressive teamwork kept Dartmoor on the back foot, helping them extend their lead to 6–0 by half-time.

Dartmoor came out with renewed determination after the break, creating several promising attacking plays and forcing Greenbottles to scramble back in defence. However, Greenbottles continued to capitalise on their opportunities and added to their tally.

To their credit, Dartmoor never gave up. The final quarter showcased the team’s resilience and positive attitude, with every player continuing to work hard despite the scoreboard. While Greenbottles were deserving winners on the day, Dartmoor’s determination and sportsmanship never wavered.

Dartmoor vs Redlegs – Women

The final score may have read 7–0 in favour of Dartmoor, but it certainly didn’t reflect the determination and effort shown by Redlegs.

Redlegs continue to show plenty of promise, with their younger players developing impressively under the guidance of their experienced teammates. A special mention goes to the Redlegs goalkeeper, who was outstanding throughout the match. With what could only be described as “Spidey senses,” she batted away shots from every direction and denied Dartmoor several goals. She was, and always is incredible to watch.

Dartmoor proved too strong on the day, displaying excellent teamwork, crisp passing and strong ball movement. They made great use of the entire team, confidently switching play and working the ball around the field to create opportunities.

Credit must also go to the Redlegs defensive line, who worked tirelessly to make it difficult for Dartmoor to enter their circle. Even when Dartmoor did break through, the Redlegs defence and goalkeeper combined to shut down countless scoring chances.

Despite the scoreboard, this was far from a one-sided contest. Redlegs continued to apply pressure right until the final whistle.
