Tatiara v Greenbottles – Under 16
The first quarter began in perfect playing conditions, both teams fought for attacking opportunities, creating short corners for Greenbottles, however no score resulted from them. This ended the first quarter nil all.
The second quarter started quickly, with the whistle being followed by a fantastic run from Tatiara, the run finalised a nicely slotted in goal by Tatiara’s Hannah Harkness. The quarter was shortly followed by strong a strong fight from both teams, resulting in Greenbottles putting away their first goal by Alice Fry.
The second half started in Tatiara’s possession giving them most of the attacking play for the quarter, however a quick steal ended the ball in the circle giving Greenbottles the opportunity to score their last and final goal of the game, hit in by Eliza Withers.
The final quarter held great speed by both teams. Greenbottles were able to hold most of the possession for the quarter, however neither teams were able to score, leaving the final game results 2-1 Greenbottles way.

Tatiara v Redlegs – Men
The game started with some energetic ball play from both sides, as everyone was fighting to keep themselves warm against the freezing temperature. Strong competition in attack by Redlegs was only met by the determination of Tatiara’s defence leaving the first quarter scoreless.
The second quarter was introduced by a lot of running from both teams, each possession to be met by a strong tackle from a defender. The quarter was a lot of back and forth between both teams as everyone showed their persistence to get the ball where they wanted it. The half ended with a short corner in the reds attack resulting in a goal from an amazingly executed drag flick by Buzz Brennan.
The third quarter, despite the tired players, was just as fast as the first. Multiple greatly cleared balls gave Tatiara’s attacker Will Martin the opportunity to have a one on one with the Redlegs goalie, ending in the first goal for Tatiara. The Redlegs defence was closely met by Tatiara with their second goal, scored from a short corner by Danny Verrall.
The fourth quarter inevitably began slowing down, but the players never ceased to put in their all. The quarter consisted of back and forth passes as Redlegs desperately tried to get another goal, but Tatiara desperately tried to keep them away, which they succeeded in until a strong run by Reds saw Buzz even the scores scoring his second goal of the game.
