Dartmoor v Greenbottles – Under 13
It was a top of the table clash when Dartmoor took on Greenbottles in the U13s competition. Dartmoor leapt out of the gates, running the ball into their attack to be met by a solid Greenbottles defence who combined well to repel the Dartmoor advances.
Repeated entries into the circle were finally rewarded with the first goal to Dartmoor’s Eddie Dolphin. Greenbottles had their fair share of attack and were unlucky not to score on multiple occasions. Dartmoor continued to push and a second goal to Dolphin saw them 2-0 up at half time.
In the third quarter, Greenbottles’ defence held out Dartmoor’s attempts at goals, and they continued to push forward themselves, but were denied by the reliable Dartmoor defenders.
The final quarter saw Dolphin complete his hattrick as a result of some great team play and passing. The game ended 3-0 with Dartmoor as the victors in what was a very even game. Well done to both teams.

Dartmoor v Tatiara – Women
Dartmoor Women finished the season strong with 5–0 win over Tatiara
Dartmoor wrapped up their season on a high with a commanding 5-0 victory over Tatiara in Friday night’s women’s hockey clash. Dartmoor came out firing, dominating possession and creating early chances. But Tatiara’s defence held strong, forcing Dartmoor to work hard for their opening goal.
The momentum shifted in the second quarter as Tatiara pressed forward, putting Dartmoor on the back foot and testing their defence, including the goalkeeper who made a crucial save to keep the lead intact.
After halftime, Dartmoor regained control, pushing the ball deep into their attacking half. Tatiara continued to challenge with fast breaks and strong clearances, but Dartmoor’s attack proved too strong in the closing stages.
Despite the scoreline, it was a solid and closely-contested game, played with great sportsmanship, and was a fitting finish for Dartmoor before they head into a bye next week.
