Greenbottles vs Dartmoor – Women
Dartmoor won the toss and were strong early with their defence able to breakdown any Greenbottles play and counter effectively with many penetrating passes through Alice Rainsford and Lucy Thomson to find their hard working strikers. Dartmoor strikers Chelsea Dahlenburg and Natasha Moore attacked their circle, but penetrations were limited by strong tackles from Leisha Munro and Abby Waugh.
Dartmoor were unlucky not to score on their hard-fought attacking penalty corners, run down quickly by Madi Derrington.
Both Dartmoor and Greenbottles were able to effectively outlet from defence finding their teammates and switching the play to make the most of the pockets of space that opened up down the field. There were some hard-fought midfield tussles between Jada Copping, Chloe Boylan and Madi Derrington from Greenbottles and Alice Rainsford and Kelly Gale from Dartmoor.
Both Harriet and Sophie Waters distributed the ball effectively on the right finding plenty of space into attack for Tillie Derrington, Lucy Possingham and Dani Mahoney to receive the ball and drive at the circle, resulting in several short corners and a powerful goal shot from Anna Young.
With the game a deadlock at 0-0 until deep in the fourth quarter, Greenbottles worked a short corner where a slip pass from the top and well executed shot by Jada Copping gave Greenbottles the lead that they held on to for a win. A great game by everyone.

Darts came out of the starting blocks full of run, they managed to have many strong attacks forward.
Goals in the first half were by Lochie Dolphin and Johnny Sadler for Darts!
Greens must of talked themselves up at half time because they came out with a game plan to score and win!
The young players in the team really stepped up, helping out the older stalwarts!
Two goals by Cameron Taylor and Matt McGregor meant Greens came out winners on a beautiful sunny winters afternoon!
