Round 3 – Season 2024
Kingston/Lucindale team members knew the games would be tough, but never gave up.
Under 9
The Kingston/Lucindale Under 9s went in just as strong as last week.
Although they didn’t get many goals, they didn’t let that bother them. They continued working together to have a strong defence as the ball was heading down towards the opposing team’s goals.
Kingston/Lucindale vs Dartmoor – Under 13
Kingston/Lucindale and Dartmoor both started very strongly with neither team having a clear advantage.
Kingston/Lucindale were under extreme pressure in the first quarter but some amazing defensive moves to repel four penalty corners, after time had been called, kept the score to 0-0 at the end of the quarter.
Dartmoor scored the first goal in the closing minutes of the second quarter.
The second half was a different story with Dartmoor pressing strongly against a fatigued Kingston/Lucindale. The final score was 5-0 with one goal from Eddie Dolphin and two goals each from Kendra Lewis and Cooper Foale.

Kingston/Lucindale vs Dartmoor – Under 16
On a sunny day in Naracoorte, Dartmoor Hockey Club showed why they are the dominant team in the Under 16 competition again this year.
The Kingston/Lucindale team members knew the game would be tough, but never gave up. Dartmoor were too strong.
The Kingston/Lucindale goalie did an amazing job of keeping out many attempts on goal. The shots at goal kept coming throughout the game and some made it through even though the Kingston/Lucindale defenders and goalie did a sterling effort.
Kingston/Lucinale did manage to get some short corners. Good effort by both teams on a warm afternoon!

Kingston/Lucindale vs Dartmoor – Women
Dartmoor came out of the gates hard and dominated, holding the Kingston/Lucindale Rangers in their defensive half for the first quarter.
Second quarter saw the Rangers in their defensive half but finding their feet and beginning to find the gaps in the exceptional Dartmoor defence.
In the last half, Rangers pulled together and pushed into the attacking circle with shots on goal but failing to convert.
The Dartmoor team structure was too good for the Rangers on the day. Notable instruction from Chelsea Dahlenburg for Darts in the middle holding their team strong.

Kingston/Lucindale vs Dartmoor – Men
After a delayed start, both teams came out strong in defence not letting up until Dartmoor scored the first goal of the game late in the first quarter. Kingston/Lucindale responded with a quick goal shortly after.
The mid field was rather tense many good tackles, Darts had a few quick goals in between. Chris Hille was able to touch in several goals keeping the Rangers in the fight however it wasn’t quite enough.
Lachie Dolphin snuck past the Rangers defence and scored an additional goal, the pressure was on the Rangers to respond however they were unable to convert their shooting attempts,
The last quarter both teams were scoreless. Each side was eager to score again however that didn’t happen. The defence from both sides was intense throughout the whole quarter with a couple of short corners awarded to Kingston/Lucindale, although unable to convert
